WELCOME TO CHAPTERS 13& 14

And He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

What a reminder!!!! Gods miracles in our lives can depend on the depth of our faith! I decide right now, trust Him, obey Him, love Him, be a light for Him, and if my faith will keep its strength, the Lord WILL move my mountain! I don't want the worries of my life and deceitfullness of wealth to choke His word, and make it unfruitful!!!!!!! I want to really hear it, understand it and produce HIS crop!!
Jesus has such compassion but is NOT a doormat! Its one of my favorite characteristics of Him!
Our faith can help us sink or swim, its always been our free will, our choice.
We do the work in His name, He will provide the miracle. Its that smiple. His WILL will be done!

What we learned tonight! Matthew Chapters 11 & 12

WOW! TONIGHT'S call might have been one of the MOST insightful calls I've seen us have thus far! I'm in awe of what God reveals to each of us!

Here's what I got!
How insane they were back then! The Son of man performs miracles and yet they still do not repent. And even ask for more! Really??!!
But really, what has changed? Surprises me that He has not come back tojudge the world yet! We never learn.
I think of all the times in my life that God has shown up, times that are UNMISTAKABLY HIS HANDY work.Yet, my humaness doubts Him at times still. How many more times must He prove to me He will take acre of me before I stop worrying and just trust His plan. I too, am insane!!!

I am a child of God. And worthy just as much to Him as Hiss own mother and brothers. How amazing is that! The comfort in that alone should be enough to fill my voids for a lifetime!!! I will continue to be His servant. I love Him and want the world to see how amazing His love is too!!!

Tonight we read Matthew Chapters 9 & 10

Wow Jesus wasn't messing around tonight! No sugar coating here! The message was clear!
He wants to see my loyal blind faith before He steps in! He wants me to stand up for Him and not worry about the consequences. We are to be obidient and love Him above our own children.

Jesus gives us a spiritual gift and gives it to us freely. So we should use that gift freely to give to others.  In my life I must trust His plan blindly. I need Him to see my fiath, I want Him to heal me like the bleeding woman!

I love love love the verse about the Harvest! "the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." I want to work the field and yield my harvest!I want to invite others to work in His field too!! What an abundance we'd all have!

Love,
Kristy

Matthew Chapters 7 & 8

Well tonight was interesting to say the least! Satan tried his mightyiest to get us to NOT do this call but the Lord prevailed!!!!!

In Chapter 7 God reminded me that I'm not perfect and to be careful not to judge others. I'm personally in need of that verse tonight so thank you Lord for having Nikki read that outloud!!!

Tonight Chapter 8 really spoke to me. The kind of faith the centurion had!!!!!! He knew that Jesus could command it and it be done! How awesome to be filled with that kind of faith!
Also Jesus spoke of how the cost of following Him would truly set them apart from normal human activities. Are we really willing to do what it takes?Do we truly carry His Word to our life by trusting that He has our back? Would we give up everything we have to follow His plan?
I'm shocked they asked Him to leave!!!!!!!!Wow!! What fear they must have felt in His miraculous doings! But seriously asking Him to leave!! Wow.

TONIGHT we read Matthew Chapters 5 & 6

What a great read we had tonight! We read Matthew Chapters 5 & 6. Wonderful stuff!!!

Really it boiled down to don't be like everyone else! How does that show the light of Christ in you to conform to what the world accepts or condones that you should do or be like? It's not God's way, that is the pagans way!  Don't be afraid to stand out. A true follower lets go of the worlds hold on them and does what God wants not what men expect. Just because I enjoy something doesn't mean I should find a way to indulge in it. Indulge in God's plan, and GREAT things will happen!

Tonight we read Luke chapters 3 & 4

What a great study tonight was!!
Tonight I learned that Jesus's road in His ministry wasn't easy, wasn't without obstacles and problems, but he pressed on anyway. Reminds me that if my purpose is big enough and my faith constantly renewed and strong enough, my life will seem like a cake walk compared to Jesus's walk. Jesus was without food, was rejected, was tempted, was tested, had a family member he dearly loved go to jail, yet he still pressed on. Do we have a purpose that Big? Shouldn't we? How else do we hang on during the harder times of our life without it? Its how Jesus did it right?

Tonight we read Matthew Chapter 3 & 4...

What a roller coaster tonight's lesson was!!

Here's what I got!

John the Baptist, Elizabeth's son, was an odd duck. He seriously stood out from the crowd, and of course I'm sure that was on purpose! Reminds me of that song "How the Lost Get Found" one of my fav's! He had to stand out to have people be curious about what he was advocating, which was baptism and repentance.

We learned that doing your "religous" duties, and saying the right thing and proclaiming the right words, are only words and ceremonies, its whats inside you, what your intent is, is it to show that you are following the law, or because you truly have a heart for Christ?

I also love that Christ here is tempted after 40days of hot desert and no food, and uses scripture to overcome! He really is teaching us here that no matter how bad it gets and how much we are tempted, the WORD is our "Easy" button! I also love that He isn't asking us to endure anything He hasn't already endured in human form. So awesome, and makes him seem like he really does know what we are going through. He put himself through it first!
Something else I like here is the fishers of men verse! It's like God's way of saying I have something way more important than catching food planned for you to focus on! They didn't even hesitate! I can only hope that if God asks me to drop my nets and go, that I would do the same, no questions asked. I think I would, I pray I would!

TONIGHT we read Matthew 1 & 2...

Tonight we read about Jesus's life in Matthew 1 & 2. Matthew was a tax collector who became Jesus's disciple. There was so much to learn tonight! We learned more about Jesus's birth and the circumstances surrounding it. We learned about King Herod and his paranoid character. We learned that the wise men (Magi) were warned by God not to return through Jerusalem as they had intended but to take a different path after finding Jesus. Finding Jesus may mean that your life must take a different direction too, one that is responsive  and obedient to God's word. Are you willing to be led a different way??

Tonight we read Luke Chapter 1 and Chapter 2

Tonight we read Chapter 1 & 2 in Luke. Luke was a doctor and its why we believe he had such a detailed account of John's birth and Jesus's birth.

Here are some of the comments the ladies had on the reading tonight:

Ann Langdon said:
What hit me is the Angels,
Everyone is always afraid when they see them…. And God always says do not be afraid.  J

Elizabeth was in her 80’s and went through her first 2 trimesters. And then Mary got the news of her pregnancy, went to see Elizabeth.  Elizabeth knew that Mary was to carry the son of God.  And Mary stayed 3 months (Elizabeth’s 3rd trimester. ).  That must have been helpful since Elizabeth was old and going though the last trimester of a first pregnancy.

I love that Mary and Joseph were just everyday parents.
The lost Jesus.  Found him and asked why he did that to them? That is so what we all do as parents.  LOL
Why did you run off…we were worried.  :-)
